1.夏季到了，為提醒學生注意水域活動安全，教育部從5月起展開校園水域安全宣導工作，並培訓各縣市推派的水域安全宣導志工，將前進容易發生溺水水域的鄰近學校加強宣導，希望學生溺水事件降到最低。
As summer is just around the corner, the Ministry of Education has begun a campus water territory safety promotion in May to remind the students to be alert when they conduct activities in the water territories. The Ministry of Education further trains the water territory safety promotion volunteers in every county and city island-wide; these volunteers will perform intensive promotions in areas near certain schools where drowning cases occur more often. It is hoped the cases of student drowning will dwindle to the lowest level.
2. 教育部積極推動十二年國教，但是卻有補教業者大打「免試是幌子」的招生廣告。教育部長蔣偉寧表示，十二年國教以免試為主，免試絕對不是幌子，未來和學生、家長、教師和校長團體溝通之後，教育部也會進一步和補教業者互動協調。

3. 行政院青輔會即日起到7月31號，舉辦第二屆「我的國外打工度假故事徵文比賽」活動，最高獎金新臺幣5,000元。青輔會希望藉由參與打工度假青年的經驗分享，讓青年更瞭解打工度假過程中的學習體驗。詳情資訊可到iYouth國際青少年交流資訊網查詢。
From today until the 31 July, the National Youth Commission, Executive Yuan will hold the second writing contest for those who share their working holiday experiences obtained overseas. The highest prize is 5,000 NTD. The National Youth Commission expects such an experience sharing from the youths who have had such memories overseas will make youths understand more about the learning experiences gained during the time when they work outside Taiwan while having a holiday. 4. 法務部調查局配合召開「101年全國反毒會議」，昨天(3)舉行101年全國毒品證物公開銷毀作業，總共銷毀各類毒品790公斤，分裝163箱，為加強運送途中的安全戒護，還出動裝甲運鈔車，運送到木柵垃圾焚化廠。
To go hand in hand with the 2012 Anti-addictive drug Conference, the Investigation Bureau, Ministry of Justice held a procedure yesterday which openly annihilated the drugs and evidences. In total, 790 kilos of addictive drugs in 163 cases were extirpated. To ensure the safety guardianship during the transportation, the armored trucks (for cash transportation) were utilized. The addictive drugs were sent to the Mu-Zha Refuse Incineration Plant.
5. 法國女鞋設計師「陸巴通」說，愛漂亮的女人就得忍受點痛苦，喜歡舒適的人就不該買他的鞋子。陸巴通以設計女鞋起家，他設計的鞋子鞋跟都相當高。記者問他有必要為了愛美而忍受腳痛嗎？他的回答是他也有類似的痛苦，他平常得打領帶，雖然總覺得喘不過氣來，但是為了外表，還是得忍受。
A women’s shoe designer in France said females who wish to be pretty have to bear with certain amount of pain, and for those who favor being comfortable, they should not purchase his shoes. The designer rose from designing women’s shoes. The shoes he designs are quite high in their heels. When reporters asked him whether it is necessary for people to bear with the pain from the feet just because of the desire for beauty, the designer answered that he shares similar pain, too, for in ordinary days, he would have to wear ties. Though those ties make it hard for him to breathe, for the sake of his outlook appearance, the designer claims he has to wear them anyways.
