1. 101學年度二技暨四技二專統一入學測驗結束，二技考生缺考率6.99％，四技缺考率6.84％，初步統計有500多件考生違規事件，原因多是「攜帶手機入場」。測驗中心將在今天（7）下午5點前公佈選擇題試題的參考答案，5月22號寄發成績單。
The two-year and four-year technical college entrance examination of 101 academic year came to an end, with an absence rate of 6.99% for the two-year and 6.84% for the four-year technical college. Preliminary statistics showed that there were over 500 cases of students breaking the regulation and the main reason for that was “carrying cell-phones into the testing classroom”. The Examination Center will publish reference answers to the multiple choice questions before 5 pm today and the report cards will be mailed on May 22nd.
2. 國立中興大學為期一週的「獸醫週」昨天（6）開鑼，獸醫教學醫院開放120個寵物免費義診的名額；今年會場介紹各種動物的保健方法及常識，現場由獸醫系學生協助導覽；每天主題活動則有認養大會、寵物選秀、狗狗障礙賽、專題演講、狗狗定力大賽、美容研習營等，歡迎民眾報名參加。
National Chung Hsing University kicked off a week-long “veterinarian week” yesterday opening up 120 spots for pets to have free health check-ups. The event this year features lectures on animal health tips and facts. In addition, students from Department of Veterinary Medicine will be on site to guide the tour. Daily theme activities include pet adoption, pet beauty pageant, dog hurdle race, rap session, dog temptation-fighting contest and dog beauty workshops and the like. The public is welcome to sign up for it.

3. 綜合所得稅開始申報，財政部提醒，屬於退稅案件的民眾，如果在5月10號前報稅，可列入7月底的第一批退稅，5月11號之後報稅，就要等到10月底的第二批退稅。賦稅署表示，退稅最好能利用存款帳戶直接辦理轉帳退稅，沒有提供存款帳戶，國稅局將寄送退稅憑單或退稅通知。
It’s time to file the comprehensive income tax return. The Ministry of Finance reminds the public that if people who are entitled to get tax refund file tax return before May 10, they can be listed as the first group of people to get the first tax refund at the end of July. People who file tax return after May 11 will have to wait until the end of Oct. Tax Agency indicated it is best that the tax refund can be directly transferred to the savings account of tax-payers. Without a savings account, The Taxation Bureau will mail tax refund certificate or notice to tax payers.
4. 您昨天（6）有見到月亮嗎？中央氣象局天文站指出，昨天月亮通過地球的時間和滿月時間，只相差大約1分鐘，因此視覺上看起來會比較大。天文站說，這種「近地滿月」是月球在軌道運行的一種正常現象，大約每18年到19年，就會有連續3到4年，月亮看起來會比較大。

The astronomical observatory of Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said that the time of the moon passing the Earth was only one minute away from the time of full moon; therefore, it appeared larger visually. It also said that the full moon’s orbiting closer to Earth is a normal phenomenon. There are 3 or 4 years out of every 18 or 19 years that the moon looks bigger.
5. 南投市八卦山馬拉松賽昨天（6）登場，3千多位民眾迎著晨曦，沿山頂道路前進，感受八卦山上好風光。南投市長許淑華也預告，猴探井旁的梯子吊橋，可望於5月底前完工，到時候歡迎大家到南投市八卦山上，體驗全國最長的「天梯」。
Nantou PaGua Mountain marathon race took place yesterday. Over 3 thousand people showed up for the race running along the road on the top of the mountain and enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. Nantou Mayor Hsu Shu Hua said the ladder suspension bridge next to Houtanching is scheduled to finish before the end of May. When it’s finished, the Mayor will welcome the public to go to PaGua Mountain to experience the longest “sky ladder” in Taiwan.

One eagle-eyed fan worked out that the spy has been shot 4,662 times since the first film, but he still survived. People can’t help but wonder who can outlive James Bond. The fan, Gordon Stanger, estimated there was a 5% chance of the spy being fatally wounded on each occasion. Expressed mathematically, this means the chance of Bond not getting killed is close to zero.
