(2012-05-10 11:12:46 董珍鑾)1. 為了培養好的師資，教育部補助師資培育大學推動「精緻特色發展計畫」，101年度共有7校獲得經費補助，獲補助學校都能在少子化、高齡化趨勢下，發展師資培育特色，像：國立臺灣師範大學進行師資生專業英語教學培訓，國立新竹教育大學結合鄰近小學成立師培聯盟，讓師資生在職前教育階段提早入班實習。
To cultivate outstanding teachers, the Ministry of Education has subsidized universities training teachers for a special project aiming at reimbursing these schools in their special fields for teacher training under the trend of an aging society. In total, 7 universities are subsidized in school year 2012. For example, there will be professional English teacher training courses at National Normal University, whereas students from National Hsinchu University of Education will begin their internship earlier since the university has formed a teacher training alliance with the elementary schools in the vicinity.
2. 彰化縣約有50所國中小學，位在地層下陷或地下水管制區，為防範地層下陷持續惡化，校內地下水井將全面配合封閉，希望能協助減緩地層下陷。彰化縣教育處編列900萬元經費，補助各學校裝設自來水管線，讓學校水資源不致於短缺，並維護師生用水安全性。
There are about 50 junior high and elementary schools located at land subsidence or groundwater restriction areas in Changhua County. To prevent land subsidence from getting worse, wells in the campuses withdrawing underground water will be sealed. It is hoped such a measure can help slow down the speed of land subsidence. The Changhua County Department of Education has codified a budget of 9 million NTD to subsidize each school for tap-water pipeline installment so that those schools won’t be in shortage of water. Also, teachers and students in those schools will have access to clean and safe water.
3. 家扶基金會號公布「全國寄養之最」大調查。全國最有持續力的寄養家庭是新北市的林姓夫婦，寄養年資長達28年；另外，照顧最多寄養孩子的，是花蓮的黃媽媽，26年來他照顧了52名弱勢學童。家扶基金會希望募集999個家庭加入寄養家庭的行列。
The Taiwan Fund for Children and Families announces the result of an investigation aiming at searching for those who are the most generous in terms of being foster families. The most persistent case is the Lins who live in the New Taipei City. The couple has such experience for 28 years. In addition, Mrs. Huang who lives in Hualien is the one who has cared for the biggest number of foster children. That is, she has taken care of 52 disadvantaged pupils in the time span of 26 years. The Taiwan Fund for Children and Families hopes to gather 999 families to join the foster family project.
4.國民健康局公布99年國人死因。根據統計，乳癌是全國所有癌症死因第四位，平均國人每天約有4.7人死於乳癌。去年台中市衛生局透過乳房攝影篩檢約5萬8424人，其中就有248人是乳癌確診患者。臺中市衛生局呼籲45-69歲的婦女，以及40-44歲二親內曾經罹患乳癌的婦女，應該每二年接受1次免費乳房攝影檢查，才能遠離乳癌的威脅。
The Bureau of Health Promotion announces reasons of death for the local populations in 2010. According to the statistics, breast cancer ranks as number four in the category of cancer, and it averagely claims 4.7 lives everyday nationwide. Last year, the Health Bureau of Taichung examined 58,424 people through mammogram and 248 of them were confirmed cases of breast cancer. The Bureau advocates on women between ages 45 and 69, and those who are between 40 and 44 but whose close relatives had suffered from breast cancer should receive a free of charge mammogram every once in two years to be away from the threat of breast cancer.
5.英國教育部小學教育的一位專家，建議父母必須要做五件事，每天早起、準備早餐、讓孩子準時上學、讀書給孩子聽、和陪孩子說話。英國現在有700多所小學，課業成績比較差，專家說，研究發現，這些學校孩子的缺課率都相當高，只要孩子能夠準時好好上學，成績多半就會進步；小學的時候成績不好，進了中學就很難再趕上。
An expert for the primary school education in the British Department of Education suggests five things parents must do on a daily basis for their children, namely, waking up early every morning, preparing breakfast for their kids, making sure their kids will be at school on time, reading stories to their children and chatting with them. In the UK, there are about 700 elementary schools with poorer academic performances. According to the survey, students from these schools are absent for their classes on a rather high percentage. The expert says (that) if students can go to school on time, their academic performances are very likely to improve. If a pupil does not perform academically well in elementary schools, it will be harder for him or her to catch up once entering the junior high school.
