(2012-05-11 10:51:36 董珍鑾)4. 國道5號雪山隧道本月七號發生重大交通事故，造成民眾傷亡，宜蘭縣政府表示，雪山隧道總長12.9公里，設有8條車行聯絡隧道，以及28條人行聯絡隧道，在隧道內發生事故時，民眾要往後方逃生，進入「橫坑」聯絡隧道等待救援，橫坑間距350公尺，以平常步行時間大約5分鐘。
Major car accident claiming local residents’ lives and wounded many happened in the Snow Mountain Tunnel on 7 May. The Yilan County Government indicates the tunnel is 12.9 kilometers in total, with 8 dubbed “vehicle contacting tunnels” and 28 “pedestrian contacting tunnels.” When accidents take place in the tunnel, the local residents are advised to evacuate backward and enter the dubbed “Hung Tunnel,” waiting for being rescued. The distance between each of these “Hung Tunnel” is 350 meters with five minutes walk apart.
