As Enterovirus has become more widespread, activities and courses in 407 classes in Taiwan are currently suspended. The situation is more serious in Taipei city and Tainan city. To avoid the spread of the Enterovirus, the Ministry of Education has ruled a dubbed “Seven-Two-Seven Principle.” This means in the time span of a week, when there are two confirmed cases of Enterovirus in a class, that class should cease all its activities and courses for one to two weeks.

3. 臺北市101學年度市立國小附設幼兒園，將首度招收3歲幼兒。教育局表示，除了民權國小附幼等30所學校，將各開放一個班，其他國小附幼在4、5歲幼兒招生結束後，如果有缺額，也將開放給3歲幼兒登記，預計可招收900名以上的3歲幼兒。
In school year 2012, the preschools of the municipal elementary schools in Taipei city will recruit the 3-year-olds for the first time. According to the Dept. of Education, Taipei City Government, aside from a single class in 30 preschools such as the one in Mingchuan Elementary School, in other preschools of the municipal elementary schools, when vacancies for the recruitment of 4 and 5 year-olds are not completely filled, 3-year-olds can also be registered in these preschools.
