1.高等教育產業工會，昨天(30)到教育部陳情，指出大學兼任教師薪資太低，月領新台幣2萬元，希望教育部正視。教育部高教司表示，大學兼任教師的時薪，國立大學校務基金應該有財務自主彈性，教育部已經放寬兼任教師固定時薪的限制，各校可以依教師的貢獻提供彈性薪資。
Taiwan Higher Education Industry Union went to the Ministry of Education for stating and pleading the low salary of part-time college instructors yesterday. It hoped to wake up MOE’s attention to their twenty thousand dollars of salary. The department of higher education said that the national universities should be able to regulate the teachers’ hourly payment. The restriction for the payment has been loosened for each school to offer the salary fitted in with the teachers’ contributions.
2. 高雄市六龜區因為莫拉克風災重創，教育部撥經費在寶來國中設置數位機會中心，今天熱鬧舉行揭牌典禮。高雄市教育局副局長陳金源期許數位科技能帶動災區全面性發展。另外，崑山科技大學今天也捐贈70台二手電腦螢幕給六龜數位機會中心，10台送給寶來重建協會，希望有更多社會資源投入偏鄉教育。
The Ministry of Education budgets for establishing a digital opportunity center in 寶來 Junior High School at六龜 district of Kaohsiung City which hopes to bring an overall development to the locals suffering from typhoon Morakot. The vice director of the Education Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government 陳金源 went to the unveiling ceremony and expected that the digital technology can develops the disaster area. Additionally, 崑山 University had donated seventy sets of secondhand computer screen for the center and ten for the 寶來 reconstruction association for supporting the education at remote districts.
3. 「2012年美國中學數學能力分級測驗AMC10、12」成績出爐，臺灣學生今年沒有人滿分，但有兩位同學只答錯一題，拿下臺灣區最高分，他們分別是臺南建興國中八年級學生陳紹銘，以及新北市私立竹林中學九年級學生張賴和，其中，張賴和在AMC進階測驗AIME拿到滿分，創下臺灣參賽有史以來第一人。
The results for 2012 American Mathematics Competitions on level 10 and 12 are revealed. No Taiwanese test taker gets full marks this year, but two of them just get one wrong answer. The students who got the highest score in Taiwan come from the 8th grade of 建興 Junior High School of 台南 County 陳紹銘 and the 9th grade of 竹林 High School of New Taipei City 張賴和. Furthermore張 is the first person who gets the perfect score in AIME in Taiwan.
4. 101年全國大專校院運動會， 5月4號起到5月8號盛大登場，昨天(30)主辦單位－義守大學和來自中央地方各界貴賓，齊聚高雄市政府前庭廣場，為迎接全大運一起倒數計時加油打氣！義守大學校長蕭介夫、教育部常務次長吳財順、以及高雄市政府首長，共同呼籲全國民眾成群結伴一起來高雄看全大運、遊高雄，體驗高雄友善城市的運動休閒之旅。
The sport meet for college students in 2012 will take place from May 4th to 8th. 義守 University, the sponsor of the event, and the guests from center and local governments gathered together in the Kaohsiung City Government square for greeting the games. The chancellor 蕭介夫, administrative vice-minister at the Ministry of Education 吳財順 and the chief of the Kaohsiung City Government called upon the public to join the games as well as take a visit of Kaohsiung area and arrange a leisure sport tour for experiencing the locals’ kindness.

To raise the technical level in career and enhance the degree of industries, the Council for Labor Affairs will hold the 2nd part of academic subject exam for the certificate of technician. The enrollment brochure will be on sale at Familymart, HiLife and OK convenient stores from May 1st to 17th. The communication application will begin working from May 8th to 17th. 6. 香港哮喘會的調查發現，83名有飲酒的哮喘的病人中，一半人在飲酒後，出現喘鳴及氣促等哮喘發作的情況，9成人在飲酒後1小時內出現。哮喘會執委黃慕蓮表示，無論餐酒、啤酒或藥材酒都可能引發哮喘，她呼籲哮喘病人不應該飲酒。
The investigation from Hong Kong Asthma Society shows that ninety percent of a half of the eighty-three patients who get asthma would have relative symptoms within one hour after drinking alcohol. The commissioner 黃慕蓮 indicates that drinking alcohol, beer and alcohol made by medicinal materials may cause to asthma. She also calls upon the patients not to touch alcohol.
