1.101學年度國立高級中等學校聯合教師甄選簡章出爐，即日起公告在教育部中部辦公室及國立臺中高工網站。今年有117校參與聯合教師甄選，職缺數有512名。甄選報名採兩階段收費，並新增通訊資格審查方式，5月3號起到10號受理網路報名。詳情可利用教育部中部辦公室及國立臺中高工網站查詢。
The enrollment brochure for the joint teachers’ selection for the national high schools is issued and will be announced on the websites of the central office of the Ministry of Education and National Taichung Industrial High School. One hundred seventeen schools take part in the selection this year and five hundred and twelve of vacancies are provided. The application will be handled by two phases and the communication-qualified system is newly added. The on-line application will start working from May 3rd to 10th. 2. 教育部邀集社教館所及原住民族部落大學推出「發現『原』生活．開啟原動力」系列活動，各項原住民文化體驗活動5月份陸續在各地展開，包含：祭典觀摩、夜宿原住民部落、探索科學、歌曲傳唱及原住民手工藝等，歡迎民眾就近參加，體驗不一樣的原住民文化。
The Ministry of Education invites cultural centers and universities of aboriginal tribes to promote a series of events. The culture-experiencing activities will be kept holding from May in different areas including inspection and study of traditional ceremony, accommodation of aboriginal tribes, discovery of science, singing events, handicraft exhibition and so on. People who are interested in them are welcome to make a visit.
3.學校利用虛擬實境教學的情況越來越多！國立臺灣師範大學科教中心主任張俊彥研究團隊，開發一套「小油坑虛擬野外考察系統」，讓高一學生在虛擬環境學習後進行測試，結果發現，高中男生不會因為熟悉電玩介面而在虛擬環境學習更好，反倒是高中女生的學習效果比男生來得好，這項反轉性別假說的研究成果，已刊登在《英國教育科技》的國際期刊上。
Making use of the virtual reality teaching becomes more popular in schools. A research team led by the manager of center for science education of National Taiwan Normal University 張俊彥 develops a set of inspecting system with virtual reality technology to simulate small outdoors oil pits for the students studying in the first grade of senior high school. The result of the investigation which has been published on the international periodical called “The British Journal of Educational Technology” shows that the male students don’t perform better than the female even they are good at playing computer games.
4. 新北市原住民族部落大學開始招生，今年在新莊、樹林、新店、烏來、三峽、鶯歌等地開班，課程內容包含彩繪指甲、乙級美容、馬賽克、數位資訊應用、原住民人權教育等30多門課程，即日起陸續開課，歡迎年滿16歲以上的新北市原住民，或對原住民文化有興趣的民眾報名參與。
The enrollment for the university of aboriginal tribes in New Taipei City begins working. The classes will be provided in some places including 新莊,樹林,新店,烏來,三峽,鶯歌 and so on. About thirty curriculums including nail-painting, cosmetics, digital informational application, and the education of human rights for indigenous people will be offered. The aboriginal residents of New Taipei City who have been sixteen years old are welcome to apply for the courses.
5. 鼓勵各界推動環境教育，環保署舉辦第一屆「國家環境教育獎」，獎勵對象分為學校、機關機構、民營事業、團體、社區和個人6個項目，特優獎金最高100萬元，即日起到6月30號由各縣市環保局受理報名。
Environmental Protection Administration, the Executive Yuan holds the Environmental Education Award to promote the education. The targets for the prizewinners include schools, associations, non-governmental businesses, groups, communities and individuals. The first prize for the reward will reach one million dollars. The application will be handled by Environmental Protection Bureaus of each counties from now on through June 30th.
6. 全美居泛亞洲教育領導地位的機構—亞洲協會，發行「在低年級學習華語文」這本書，提供全美以全華語環境浸潤式教學學校(Chinese Immersion Program)，一個教學資源和最佳實踐手冊，麻薩諸塞州獨具特色的特許學校—先鋒中英雙語學校，是這本手冊中，來自美國各地7所被被選為同型學校模範的學校之一 。
Asia Society, the top Asian educational association in U.S publishes a book called “learning Chinese in lower grades of school” which provides Chinese Immersion Program a best manual for teaching and practicing. The Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School located in Massachusetts is chosen by this manual to be one of the seven model schools for this teaching type in America.
